One night in September the galleries of the old town stay open until midnight. The city is at its best.
On the third Thursday of September the galleries in Palma's old town open their doors until midnight, and the whole city walks from one to the next.
Start around the Sant Jaume quarter and work down towards La Llotja. Most places pour a glass of something. It is busy, it is loud, and it is the one night of the year when the old town belongs to the people who live in it.
